Sometimes I think we need to tell ourselves, in our most confident inner voices, that we can be truly great at something.
Instead, we tell ourselves it is too hard or too costly (not just financially, but time wise or whatever other excuse we want to use) or too this or too that.
Zig Ziglar nailed it when he said, "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."
Had Cassius Clay never started, he never would have become the greatest! He never would have become the legendary Muhammad Ali a world renowned boxer. NEVER. He had to start! He had to put in the time. He had to put in the work and the sweat and the tears to become the greatest. He had to silence that inner voice that wanted him to quit, that told him that the work wasn't worth it.
We have to do the same thing. We may not want to become great boxers, but we will never become "great" anythings if we just sit on our couch and do nothing. (Unless we want to become great at watching TV or playing video games!)
I want to become the best me I can be. That requires work and dedication. I may never have world-wide fame and fortune (although the fortune might be nice!), but I will never be my greatest self, I will never see my greatest potential if I never start going after that which I desire.
You won't either.
Let's start together TODAY! No more waiting for tomorrow.
Until next time, be good to yourself and others!
