Local News Headlines Before venturing out on a frozen lake or pond keep in mind: There is no such thing as 100 percent safe ice! There wasn't really any discussion about whether or not the commissioners would raise their own salaries. Commissioner Randy Neumann made a motion that they keep their salaries the same as 2007 which was $18,697. The resolution passed without discussion. The board chair receives an extra $1200.
