by Jeff Dague and his father, Roy, in the city of Bertha.This family venture, named J-R Mattress after Jeff and Roy's initials, has been up and running until this past October when a new federal regulation caused the business to shut down its operations. More The Todd County Sheriff's Office reports that in the early morning hours of November 15, agents from the Central Minnesota Drug/Gang Task Force arrested a 27-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, both from Morris, on first degree drug sales charges and felony child endangerment charges. More The article about the new city garage in Hewitt may have implied that the lumber and materials came from Pete's Lumber in Bertha. More The commissioners met with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) on Thursday, November 15. This AFSCME group represents the highway department, public health and social services. More Public Health Director Cheryl Schneider and Social Services Director Frank Sandelin were at the work session of the commissioners on November 13 to discuss a new program called Special Needs Basic Program which is an effort by the Department of Human Services to have service coordination moved out of the state's hands and into the hands of counties.
