Ben and Beth Johnson of Eagle Bend have learned plenty and been on a roller coaster of emotions over the past two months as they searched for the reason their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter suddenly developed a bulge on her neck. More


The stories were much the same, people living and getting by on far less than they need. The stories of poverty. Edelia has three families with 16 people all living in the same small house. Lack of healthcare. Inability to pay for heat. People living in the land of opportunity with all the doors and windows being closed to them. More


Environment & Land Resource Management Office Director Andrew Dahlgren presented some options to the commissioners about ways to possibly pay for part of another full-time attorney who could dedicate themselves to more planning and zoning enforcement. More


Kurt Deter, ditch attorney for the county, was at the informational meeting to let landowners know the basics of ditch law-what they could and could not do in regard to their ditch-and answered questions after the general information was presented. More
