Some of us are travelers of the world who have ventured out as tourists for a week or two at a time to see what else is “out there”. But, have you ever considered what it would be like to go away to a foreign country to spend, say, six months to a year there with people you’ve never met before?

Letter To the Editor:
I know that the Sewer Rehab Project has been dragging on much longer than anyone anticipated, including the work that is being done to the streets. Since the streets were being worked on, the signs were taken down to make the construction easier. Unfortunately, I have noticed that some of these signs have now gone missing. I know of at least two stop signs that have ‘disappeared’.
This perturbs me because the removal of these traffic directives is not only illegal, but also extremely dangerous. The person(s) who took these signs can not only be fined for theft, but they could also be charged for a more serious crime if someone were to be injured as a result of a lack of signs. Not to mention that these signs are expensive for the city to replace.
If the person(s) in possession of the missing signs wish to return them, full amnesty will be granted. Please drop them off at the city hall garage at anytime.

We sometimes walk, bike or drive the same route daily and for some of us that route may become mundane. Do we really pay attention to our surroundings and take note of such things as a beautiful maple tree blanketed in fall colors or a landmark building or just wonder.....what’s inside?
