  • Approved building permits for Ron Greenwaldt for a 28í x 52í house, for Andy Lancaster for a pole shed and for Jurene Jedlicka for a shed.
  • Approved the 2009 contract for the Todd County Attorney. Mayor Nathan McLaughlin was pleased to say the contract fee was $1000 less than last year.

Discussion Without Action
  • Heard concerns about the parking and streets by the Eagle Valley Elementary School from Tammy Reidel of the Eagle Valley Parent Teacher Organization.
  • Viewed a video of a 400 foot portion of sewer line on Leslie Avenue that runs near Vern Thelenís residence. McLaughlin hopes that they have identified the problem and will be able to make the sewer stop backing up into Thelenís basement. It will cost approximately $6000 to fix the two manholes that appear to be causing the problems.
  • Heard requests about slowing traffic down on Leslie Avenue, especially by Bridge Street. It was suggested that citizens call the sheriffís department so they will patrol that area more often.
  • Another request was made to see if a sign could be put up on the ends of town about trucks not using jake brakes.
  • City Administrator Sue Kent and McLaughlin met with the Central Minnesota Housing Partnership and also with Kathy Sletto who wrote the housing grants for Hewitt and Bertha to clarify a few things about the potential housing rehabilitation grant which the city may apply for.
