Arthur Noska

Funeral services for Arthur Noska, 86, of Cushing, will be held on Wedesday, December 16, 2009 at Arthur Noska Funeral services for Arthur Noska, 86, of Cushing, will be held on Wedesday, December 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville with Pastor Nate Loer officiating. Art passed away on December 13 at the Lakewood Health System in Staples.
Art was born on September 30, 1923, on the family farm in Moran Township, Todd County, to John and Mary (Motl) Noska. He attended country school at District 132 through the 8th grade. Art worked many different jobs until he joined the Merchant Marines in 1944. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Art married Leatrice Cline on May 12, 1948 in Clarissa. Together Art and Leatrice farmed in Moran Township for 32 years until Art retired in 1980. Art loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, picking berries, playing cards and having a good time.
Art is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harry, Elmer, Don, Lester; and sisters Lillian and Harriet.
Art is survived by his wife Leatrice of Cushing; children Jerry (Dianne) Noska of Browerville, Joy (Ron) Beck of Menahga, Dan Noska of Cushing, Gail (Bob) Trout of Browerville; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville.

Beverly Johnson

Services for Beverly Grace Johnson, 65, of Tracy, were held on December 10, 2009 at the Tracy United Methodist Church. Beverly passed away on Friday, December 4, at the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy.
Beverly was born in Alexandria on January 31, 1944 to William and Esther (Lindgren) Hetland of Eagle Bend. She attended Eagle Bend Public Schools.
On September 28, 1964 Beverly married Leland Johnson in Brookings, South Dakota. They made their home in Tracy until 1971 when they moved to Orlando, Florida. In 1978 they returned to Minnesota and moved to Princeton, where they lived until 1992, when they retired and moved back to Tracy.
Beverly was no stranger to work, growing up on a farm and holding many factory jobs through out her life. At the time of her retirement she was employed by the Schwann’Äôs Food Company of Marshall as a custodian. After 38 years of marriage, her husband died in 2002 and Beverly remained in their home in Tracy.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always happy playing cards and finding ways to put smiles on her family’Äôs faces, with her ’Äúsay it like it is attitude’Äù.
In June of 2009 Beverly became a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy.
Her husband, Leland, her parents, and one sister, Verona preceded her in death.
Beverly is survived by her three daughters, Linda Johnson, JoAnn (Tim) Martin and Sue Ann (Chad) Moyars, all of Tracy; five grandchildren, Krystal Martin of Marshall, Dustin and Shelby Martin of St. Peter and Kendra and Kailee Moyars of Tracy; three great-grandchildren, Madison Martin of Tracy and Skylar and Kailyn Westberg of Marshall; one sister, Mildred Schuelter of Minneapolis; two brothers, Wilbert Hetland of Eagle Bend and Steven Titrud of Willmar; one sister-in-law, Adeline Johnson of Tracy; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment was at the Tracy City Cemetery.
