Amy Cary

Memorial services for Amy Beatrice Cary, 89, were held on Saturday, December 10, at the United Methodist Church in Perham, with Pastor Robert Pesola officiating. Amy passed away on December 6, 2011, at Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham.
Amy Beatrice Cary was born on July 20, 1922 to Andrew and Martha (Okeson) Olson in Eagle Bend. She enjoyed the ways of everyday life and caring for her family. She especially loved the time she spent with her family and friends. She had a talent for identifying the birds at her feeders, and extra joy came with watching the hummingbirds.
Amy was preceded in death by her husband Donavon on February 9, 2001; daughter Diane Cary Karskey in May 2000; parents Andrew and Martha; brothers Morris, Donald and Rodney; and sister Marjorie Nickerson.
Left to mourn her loss are her sons Tim (Deb) Cary of Wadena and Jon of Ottertail; grandchildren Mike (Lisa) Cary and Matthew (Meghan Current) Cary; and great-grandchildren Devin and Greta Cary.
Internment will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Verndale.
