According to Minnesota Power, at  7 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, about 358 customers lost power in Verndale.  Crews from their construction and maintenance team had to be called out to test equipment at the Verndale substation.  Those crews found a bad transformer.  They had to deliver and install new equipment from their office in order to restore power.  All customers were restored by 5:22 a.m. on Sunday, August 27.  Customers were without power for approximately 10 hours.
