City of Eagle Bend approves citywide waste pickup

At their July 17 meeting the Eagle Bend City Council approved the citywide pickup of solid waste (garbage) similar to the ordinances passed by the cities of Browerville and Hewitt previously.
In fact, Council Member John Rachuy gave kudos to those two cities for their advice and information on how Eagle Bend can smoothly transition into the citywide service.
“The bottom line of this is that it will lower the costs on the two options currently available to citizens and it also provides two lower cost options that we didn’t have previously. This will give our citizens a significant cost savings,” said Rachuy.
