Verndale School News

by Marlo Benning

At the board’s August meeting, visitors Ashlee Ervin-Tupper, Robert Minoletti and Brad Schloemer asked if the board  would consider picking up their children/grandchildren at Ervin-Tupper and Schloemer’s new home south of County Road 11 and Highway 210.

Ervin-Tupper said there is plenty of turnaround space on their property and that there are multiple stops. She said that a court order says her four year old has to attend Verndale and that there are a total of seven children in their household, that by 2021, all will be attending the school at that one bus stop. She said that she had looked at the bus policy and that they already go into that district. She said the school would get $10,000 just for the three children that attend now, and that it would equate to around $24,000 in the future for the others.
