The Eagle Bend Assembly of God welcomed their new pastor Eric Monson a few weeks ago.

He was raised on a sheep ranch in Wadena and was very active in 4-H and FFA. He showed a variety of animals at the local and state level from chickens to rabbits. He also participated in shooting sports and was a state 4-H ambassador. While he attended Wadena-Deer Creek School, he participated in wrestling and cross country.

“4-H has shaped me into who I am today and I really believe that,” said Monson.

“My mom enjoys that I am closer to home to visit. My dad enjoys it, which means I am now closer to home to help with farm work when he needs me,” chuckled Monson.
