Eagle Bend Days—with a theme this year of Constructing For the Future—will have a few new events to take your mind off of the road and utility construction going on downtown.

The events take place Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16.

One of the highlights is Mini Escapes. It is from the Escape Room in Alexandria with all the thrills and guessing to “escape” from a room, but in a shorter version for free. That will take place on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.

Another new event is the Little Miss Summer Fest contest on Friday night. The contestants will have a meet and greet with Eagle Bend’s own Miss Minnesota Kalie Wright. You must preregister for this event.

Also on Friday night, a free, kid-friendly movie will be shown at dusk in Nelson Park.

This year’s parade time is at 11 a.m. on Saturday which is a time change from previous years.

Along with these additions to Eagle Bend Days’ fun-filled schedule, many of the old favorites are still taking place like bounce houses for the kiddies and food for everyone’s tastes.

Just try to “escape” by having a good time on June 15 and 16 in Eagle Bend.
