    It all started with an article. On November 19, three years ago an article was put in the Blade asking “Do you remember Ed’s Big Barn?” In the article it asked anyone with memories of the once very popular dance hall to send them into the Browerville Blade’s office so that they could write a story about the historic place that was near Browerville.

​

    The article went unanswered for nearly three years until recently when former Browerville resident Kenneth Hagen and his wife Elaine Hagen came forward with many photographs and joyful stories that they had experienced during their time spent out at Ed’s Big Barn, which was the place to be when they were growing up.
