Snow finally arrived

Two days of snowstorms left several inches on the ground. On Friday, February 23, Todd and Wadena counties woke up to around five inches of snow. Saturday, February 24, yielded more of the fluffy white stuff and snowfall rates were one to two inches per hour. Todd County received an additional six to eight inches of snow and Long Prairie reported seven inches of the fluffy white stuff. Crews in the area towns worked diligently to remove the snow from the roadways over the weekend. It was also a time of enjoyment for many snowmobilers who have had limited opportunity to ride.
