Herrera-Torres charged with 2nd degree murder
A hearing was held for Jose Raul Herrera-Torres, 35, on July 31 at the Todd County Courthouse. He was charged with one count of second degree murder that carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
The complaint stated that on July 27, at approximately 8 p.m., the Long Prairie Police Department received a call of a deceased person at 451 Todd Street South in the city of Long Prairie.
Jesus Herrera arrived at the residence sometime around 8 p.m. and discovered the deceased body of Dominga Mejia Guerrero.
