Pickle Fest returns

    The Hewitt Pickle Fest returns after taking last year off. The celebration will take place on July 20-22.

    Festivities kick off Friday evening with the Hewitt Lion’s Pork Chop Feed, meat raffle and a pickle eating contest at the Woodtick Lounge followed by a street dance. 

    Saturday kicks off with  the popular softball tournament, rummage, garage and vendor sales. The kids will enjoy face painting, a wacky run and a sand coin dig. 

    The parade will be held at noon followed by bouncy houses for the kids, turtle races, kiddie water wars a cornhole tournament, farm olympics and a street dance that night.

    Sunday wraps up with a pancake breakfast and polka dancing at the Woodtick Lounge.
