Highway 10 open house—what to expect in 2020

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDot) held an open house at the Maslowski Wellness Center in Wadena on September 24. 

Large maps were on a table and on a wall for visitors to view details about the Highway 10 reconstruction project as it moves closer to town. 

The $12.4 million project will widen the road and add a concrete median that will separate east and westbound lanes along with widening shoulders that could be striped as lanes in the future. 

Resurfacing of the two lane sections between Bluffton and Birch Avenue and County Road 4 and Oink Joint Road is complete. New left turn lanes were installed at the Highway 10 and Otter Tail County Road 75 intersection. Drainage work at Union Creek will be finished soon. 

Next year they will reconstruct Highway 10 through Wadena including the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 71; upgrading approaches, sidewalks, storm sewers, LED street lighting, traffic signals with pedestrian audio indicators as well as improving traffic flow. . . .
