Home schooling resources available at the Eagle Bend Public Library

    The Eagle Bend Public Library is rolling out a new program to help parents who are home schooling their children.

    “We heard there were more people home schooling and we want to show them we can help,” said Cathy Perish, library services coordinator. 

    They are planning an open house to showcase the tools they offer. 

    They will have a laptop bookcase with 10 laptops for use and people on hand to walk curious visitors through the programs they offer. 

    “We have a lot of things that people don’t realize we have,” said Perish. “We have access to over a million items like newly released books and movies. We can also get loans from other libraries out of our system.”

    “It’s also great for parents who want to help their kids who are in school,” she added.

    If you have younger kids, they also have a play area in the back at the library. 

    They offer their space for home school parents to come in and meet. They can bring in programs by request. The library has computers and WiFi access available.
