June Jubilee kicks off on June 13

    Wadena is kicking off their June Jubilee celebration starting on June 13 with the Kinship kick off party and pig races at the Wadena County Fairgrounds from 6-9 p.m. There will be music, inflatables and plenty of food. 

    June 14 will begin with the Town and Country Breakfast from 7:30-10 a.m. at Burlington Northern Park. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, rolls, and coffee, juice or milk.  Auto Value will also have an open house from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

    The VFW will have a steak fry including a 10 ounce ribeye steak, baked potato and a choice of sides from 4:30-7 p.m.

    The grand parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Jefferson Street.

    June 15 will be the Whitetail Run golf fundraiser with proceeds going to the Wadena City Library Building Fund. 

    The Wadena County Historical Society will hold their Historic Carnival from 1-4 p.m. The event will consist of live music, historical impersonators, carriage rides, fry bread and more.

    June 16 will be Family Fun Day from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Sunnybrook Park which includes a youth fishing tournament, crafts, games, kiddie tractor pull, inflatables, minnow races and more. 

    The day will end with fireworks at dusk, at approximately 10 p.m.
