    On Saturday, July 29, the Verndale Lions Club dedicated their new cemetery board to the Verndale Cemetery. The program was led by Randy Beaver and Mayor Raye Ludovissie. The board displays approximately 2,400 names of family and friends who are all connected to the Verndale community. 

​

    The Lions began this project three years ago, with the vision of a wooden display set four feet into the ground, However, upon the beginning of construction, the group decided to settle on a rock and cement body. It contains 600 core filled blocks, making it a steady structure that will stand for many years to come.
