Trayton Zanda, 17, was reported missing from Alexandria High School on February 1.
Zanda splits his time between his father’s in Alexandria and his mother Felicia and step-father Kellen Morrissey’s place in Eagle Bend.
Felicia was supposed to pick Zanda up after school yesterday (February 1) at 3:30 p.m. He was supposed to work at McDonald’s in Alexandria at 4:30 p.m. He had a friend cover. According to classmates he left with a boy named Kyle Knoll.
“He never showed up. I called his work and they said he had someone cover his shift. I waited at the school looking for him until almost 6 p.m. When the cops talked to McDonald’s staff they said they saw him leave the school with Kyle. They skipped the last class of the day yesterday and all classes today,” said Felicia.
“Kyle’s mom saw both boys at her house last night, but when the cops went there the boys were gone,” said his mother.
“I heard from students in his class that he and Kyle are headed to Wisconsin to see a girl Tray is dating. The girl’s name is Brianna and she used to live with her mom in Alexandria, but moved to Wisconsin last year,” she added. “The counselor at school had kids come up to her saying they have heard Tray talking about going to Wisconsin to see Brianna.”
He was last seen wearing a Vexillar hoodie and jeans.
Morrissey received a text from Zanda’s classmate that they had Snap-chatted around 1 p.m. on Friday, February 2.
Morrissey believes he took off to conceal the possible relationship with “Brianna.”
He attended elementary school in Eagle Bend for a few years. He attended Zion Christian School until 8th grade, and now is a student at Alexandria High School. His also has cousins in Clarissa.
