Six of our BHVPP wrestlers traveled east to Virginia Beach the weekend of March 24 to wrestle the best in the country at the NHSCA National Championships.  Little did they know, one of the best was already amongst them. These brackets are huge as some weight classes have over 100 kids in the field of entrants.

Craig Orlando entered the field at 285 as the #6 seed in the sophomore division.  He opened the tournament with a 30 second fall. In the quarterfinals, he took out the #3 seed with a 3-0 decision with great positioning in the whole match. Positioning would be the name of the game as he won 5-1 in the semifinals.  This moved Craig into the National Championship match.

It was 0-0 heading to the second period. His opponent went down and Craig began to grind. He pressured on his toes breaking him down multiple times. When he came up, Craig returned him to the mat to keep it 0-0 heading to the third period.  Craig went down and worked his way to his feet for the 1-0 lead. The paced picked up. Craig got his double under hooks. His opponent went for a head lock. . .
