News from Clarissa's Past

The Clarissa Independent 25 Years Ago March 29, 1995 On March 10 and 11, six area youth from OSI parish participated in a 30 hour famine to raise money and awareness of world hunger for World Vision. A total of $204 was raised. The famine began at 1 p.m. Friday and continued until 7 p.m. Saturday. To help them achieve their goal the youth participated in a lock-in. Throughout the 30 hours they drank juice, played food games, watched movies and completed learning packets. When the famine was over our families provided potluck.
