25 Years Ago

March 23, 1995

                On Monday, March 20, the Browerville Fire Department moved into their new fire hall. Senior Department Member Roger Sadlo received the honor of backing the first truck into the new space.

                Named to the 1994-95 Girl’s Basketball All Conference were Rychel Thompson, Jerene Carlson and Julie Kellen. Honorable mentions went to Sarah Buyck and Jacqui Lamusga.

                Boy’s Basketball All Conference were honorable mention Bill Wehrenberg and Brent Field; All Conference were Jeff Myers and Chuck Carstensen.

75 Years Ago

March 24, 1945

                The senior class basketball five defeated the sophomores by a score of 55 to 11 to win the interclass basketball tournament last Monday. Eldred and John led the scoring attack for the seniors by chalking up 25 points each. Woell was the highest scorer for the sophomores. Previously, the sophomores had defeated the freshmen 34-6 and the seniors beat the juniors 21-12.

                Miss Eunice Monnie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Monnie of this village, left for Minneapolis and St. Catherine’s College this week where she will begin her studies that will qualify her for a place with the Nurses Cadet Corps.
