Over 170 people attended the annual Browerville Lion’s breakfast on Sunday held at the Vet’s Club. The Lion’s served heaping plates of pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs with juice, milk and coffee. It was nice to see so many friends and neighbors gather for this fun event.
On January 21, the Browerville honor band and choir traveled to Minnewaska to perform with students from ten other districts. The band was under the direction of Matthew George from St. Thomas University. The choir was under the direction of Kathy Huselid from the Atwater Grove City High School. The students rehearsed all day and performed a concert in the afternoon.
Dan Benning won the individual championship in his weigh class, 152 pounds, at the conference wrestling tournament at Royalton. He was also named one of two outstanding seniors in the conference.
Todd County Sheriff David Kircher was congratulated by Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association President Jerry Luttman of Redwood County. Sheriff Kircher was in attendance at the M.S. A. new sheriff’s orientation held at the Holiday Inn, South Saint Paul. The five day school contained a multitude of topics which included legal issues, jail standards, civil liability, civil process and more.
