Nanette [Ostlund] Nelson has helped 43 families have an easier time of staying home over the past few weeks. Nelson, who is an independent consultant with Thirty-One Gifts and has been with the company for nearly nine years, tries to give back to her neighbors at least a few times every year. “The company lets us run our own fundraisers and I like that as I am able to give more then just a certain percentage like some fundraisers [allow],” said Nelson. Throughout her time with the company, she has hosted fundraisers for various sports programs, breast cancer foundations and 4-H groups. “This winter customers of my business [local community members] donated money and goods to put together ‘Family Night Totes’. The school counselor and I had been talking and there is truly no better time then now for these totes to be distributed,” said Nelson. . . . .
