Several area veterans were honored during a special presentation by the Quilts of Valor at the Hilltop Regional Kitchen on May 10.
Five (six total) quilts were given to area veterans honoring, embracing and thanking them for their service to our country.
Receiving quilts that evening were: Jerry Thorson, David Thorpe, Art Gadbaw, Dale Judes and Jim Jedlicka. Also receiving a quilt, but not present was Joe Lorentz.
Carrol Peterson, one of the local Quilts of Valor members (Dent QOV Group), read some interesting history and some updated statistics for the organization. . . .
