Spring is in the air and with the rising temperatures families venture outside to enjoy the weather and

activities such as bike riding.

    

Local substitute teacher Emily Malone, of Staples, shared a message with the Verndale elementary students, titled: “save your brain—wear a helmet”.

  

 Malone greatly enjoys biking and one fateful day when she was 16 years old she was biking a trail at Itasca State Park.
