A large police presence in rural Hewitt

A large police presence was seen on 470th Street, near County Road 73, in rural Hewitt on June 5 around 1 p.m., according to a report from the Todd County Sheriff's Department. There was a report of a sighting of a suspicious person. They were unable to locate anyone and there is no threat to the public as the claim was unfounded. Law enforcement could be seen including the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, New York Mills Police Department, Verndale Police Department and the Bertha Ambulance.
