A Matter of Perspective

Does anyone else have this problem? You think of something really good that you want to write about and then it just vanishes? The same thing happens when I have something to say during a conversation, but I am trying to listen to the other person and not just think about the thing that I want to say.

Well, I am pretty sure I had something really profound to share with all of you, but that was last week and since I didn’t write it down, I now have absolutely no idea what it might have been!

In fact, I don’t even know what I was going to say now.

I would like to blame this on old age, but the fact is...Well, the fact is that it probably does stem from old age!

But I also notice that it happens when I am feeling a bit stressed. Or, as the case may be, a lot stressed.

I have a lot going on this week and it is starting to rev up the old anxiety meter.

I know it will all be things that I can handle with no sweat (well, except the sweat from the sweltering heat).

Honestly, I much prefer the cooler weather. Like I always say, “If it’s cold, I can always put on more clothes, but when it’s hot, I can only take off so many!”

My forgetfulness has been something that has plagued me for years. I have to make lists or I completely forget what I am supposed to be doing. I’ve had to do that since college. I may have had to do it in high school, too, but I seem to remember that I remembered things a bit better way back then!

Over the course of the last month or two, I have taken a couple of classes. One was on gratitude and the other was on infinite possibilities.

Now those two things I remember!

I am thinking of designing my own course on these topics. I’ll need guinea pigs to try it out on, so if anyone is interested, let me know.

Anyway, try to keep cool the rest of the week and maybe I will remember what I was going to write about and can tell you all next week.
