A Matter of Perspective
I learn something new every day...
“NEWSPAPER” means North, East, West, South, Past, And, Present, Event, Report.
Did you know that? I didn’t. Or, if I did, I don’t remember remembering it!
The newspaper means a lot more than that, especially to those who use it to get their news, to get their information, to get their stories about local people.
Sometimes we tend to take the newspaper for granted thinking it will always be the same and always be there.
But recent events have made the newspaper one of the essential services. We continued to report the news each week, rain or shine, or sickness.
We worked predominately from home and many of us still do so.
I actually like working from home. I thought I might have difficulties doing it because I get easily distracted, but I think it has been going well overall.
The newspaper—especially your local newspaper—is a vital part of a community. We have worked hard to make sacrifices to keep our—all of ours—newspaper alive and well.
I know there are many people and businesses who have stayed open and worked the entirety of the pandemic. I want you to know that you are appreciated.
Will the pandemic get better? I don’t know. All I know is that we will keep providing the news through our newspapers whether it be North, East, West, South. Whether it be Past or Present, if there is a known Event, we will Report it!
