Another successful certification

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office congratulated Deputy Troy Wangsness and K9 Nitro for another successful annual certification of their skills.

Deputy Wangsness and Nitro were recently re-certified by the National Police Canine Association. In order to certify, they had to show to neutral judges that they could find and apprehend suspects and find several narcotic hides.

The two-day certification event is only a small window of continuous year-round training that the deputy and his K9 participate in to keep their skills sharp.
