Browerville One-Act takes Second: The sea seeks justice
The performance of Browerville/Eagle Valley’s One-Act Play “We Are The Sea” was held last week. Above, Norah keeps just out of the sailor’s reach after he catches her watching him steal from a dying member of the ship. The play includes Norah, Una, and Iseult who make the harsh voyage across the seas from famine ridden Ireland to America. Sickness and grief accompany them, along with a cruel sailor who shows no mercy or kindness to his Irish passengers. It’s not long before Iseult dies on the “coffin ship”, and her body is tossed overboard. The sea embraces her as one of their own. The Ebb Tide, Deep Current, and Rogue Wave ask about her death, her journey, and her destination....
