Fields of solar panels
Fields of solar panels populate the west side of Highway 27 south of Osakis. In 2016, the Douglas County Commissioners approved the five megawatt solar farm which includes 21,600 fixed solar panels across 35 acres of land along Highway 27. Novel Energy Systems of Rochester is leasing the land. The electricity generated enters the power grid at the Xcel Energy substation.
