Good-bye to the school year...Hello to summer...
On May 27, the Verndale staff and students were able to say one last good-bye as the school year has come to a close. Teachers sat outside in chairs as students and their
families passed by in their vehicles to wave, show them their signs and say a few words to each other in hopes that next school year will be back to normal. Students were able to drop off their Chromebooks, textbooks and other supplies and received gift cards to Dairy Queen from the PTA. It was a bittersweet day as everyone was happy to see each other, and sad that the pandemic had kept them apart and that they could not be walking the halls as they finished out the school year.
