A former Clarissa community resident, Duane Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Larson, has been making “creamery news” during the past few months at Cold Spring. The newspaper said “Congratulations to the creamery Manager Duane Larson, and the board of directors, for increasing the gross income of the cooperative by more than $100,000 in 1969...at a time when many creameries are losing headway and many more are closing.”
