The Clarissa Flyers took a 1-0 lead in the best of three in the playoffs with Detroit Lakes last Sunday night with a big 21-8 win. The game was delayed over an hour by a 25 minute thunderstorm, which left the field looking like a place to fish instead of play ball, but the players along with the help of Keith Hinzmann, Larry Dickinson, Rick Busch and Dale Greenwaldt, whipped the place into playable shape. Deron Greenwaldt, Joe Cuchna, Paul Johnson and Mark Burns all had two hits apiece. Greenwaldt led off the game with a solo homerun.
