Lyme season is HERE . . .Be sure you and your pets are safe

Tick season is approaching. In some places, it is already here.
Experts are warning that this year could “be an especially plentiful year for the potential disease-carrying bugs.”
According to BluePearl Pet Hospital, “While Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the U.S. with 476,000 people diagnosed each year, what many people do not know, is dogs are also at risk for Lyme disease.”
I’m not really sure who these people are because Lyme disease has been a problem for dogs at least as long as it has been for humans. But I digress.
If you don’t treat Lyme disease in your dog, they can experience a host of problems including heart complications, joint disease, and permanent nervous system damage. . .
