25 Years Ago

November 2, 1995

The Browerville Tigers defeated the Swanville Patriots in a close game at home last Saturday night, winning the Section 5-C Semi-finals. On Friday, November 3, the Browerville Tigers will travel to the Fargo Dome to take on the Brandon-Evansville Chargers.

Pastor Barbara MacKinnon, formerly of Browerville, was installed as Pastor of the Stockholm Lutheran Church in rural Cokato on October 22. Stockholm is a church of Swedish ancestry that was established in 1865.


75 Years Ago

November 3, 1945

Having been a member of St. Joseph’s Church choir for 50 years, Sam Kaluza was honored by members of the choir with a lovely gift of appreciation presented to him at the close of the Sunday morning service.

Miss Gen Meyman plans to engage in business in Browerville after an absence of two years, during which time she was employed at a beauty shop in San Antonio, Texas, before going to Minneapolis where for the past year she has operated a beauty shop. Rooms over the Meyman garage are being made available for the new place of business.
