Multiple crews and equipment can be seen along the closed Highway 10 work zone in Wadena, as they replace city water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer pipes. They hope to complete sub-surface work and begin to pour mainline concrete around October 1. Good weather is necessary to pour concrete. Motorists should be alert to trucks entering and exiting closed work areas. Concrete work will be done in this order: main travel lanes; shoulders, curbs/gutters, medians and approaches; and pedestrian walks. Also, crews are hooking up underground electrical wiring for the new signal system at Second St. W. and Highway 10. This project remains on schedule and all the new lanes, sidewalks, and accesses through Wadena are expected to be open in mid-October.
