One thousand boxes of food distributed in two hours

A line of cars stretched for over half a mile for the Farmers to Families food drop organized by Brittany and Stephen Springer held at the Verndale Family Life Church on October 21. It was the largest food distribution held there to date. There were 1000 boxes (14,000 pounds) of protein, produce, and dairy that included a gallon of milk, celery, apples, pears, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, eggs, cheese, potatoes, carrots, taco meat, sour cream, cottage cheese, and onions. The boxes weighed approximately 30 pounds each. . . .
