Orlando does it again... Three time State Champion


Craig Orlando was the Class A headliner in his fourth appearance in search of his third championship.

Orlando carried the top seed in his defense for a third championship against a familiar opponent from Crosby-Ironton. The familiarity kept the match close through the opening period as they went to the second scoreless. His opponent chose down and down he went as Craig rolled him over for the pin

Orlando continued on his mission in the quarter final round as he instantly bear hugged his opponent who scurried to get off the mat. When they returned, he rolled him over and put him away securing his podium position.

Orlando was hyped and ready to go for the semi-final round, until a medical emergency brought the crowd to silence and wrestling was put on hold. It was hard to get fired back up after the twenty-minute delay that had the medical team racing to save the life of one of the competitors.

After the scary scene unfolded in front of everyone, it was back to competition, but the mood had changed throughout the arena. . . .
