A two vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Eagle Bend sent a boat into the Highway 71 ditch and resulted in minor bodily injuries to one of the drivers, according to a report from the Todd County Sheriff’s Department. Donald Bengford, Iowa, was towing his boat with a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice when his car was struck by a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Naomi Godding, Eagle Bend. Godding was westbound on Todd 22 and pulled into the path of Bengford as he was southbound on 71. Bengford had swerved to avoid the collision, overturning the boat and trailer.
