The Eagle Bend City Council has agreed to accept a $5000 donation from the fire department and will likely use the money, as recommended by the fire department, toward the purchase of a new riding lawnmower, which they will buy locally. The council will likely have to match the donation to purchase the needed mower. The deal will be handled in the 1996 budget.
