News from Eagle Bend's Past

January 31, 2001

The women of Faith Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Eagle Bend made a joint effort to make mission quilts. The material was purchased with money donated from the Lutheran Brotherhood. The quilts are sent to foreign missions, fire victims and home missions. The sewing group averages about 10 projects per month. If anyone knows of a local need, you can contact Evelyn Oftedahl or Linda Peterson.

E.V. Poetry—Friends, by Kimberly Ann Hauer— I have many friends that I love very dear. But none of my friends can replace the six girls in the eighth grade year. We’ve had many fights with none to serious. That we solve over the nights. We’ll always be curious. On how or why they started, but we know that we will never be parted, No way no how. Because we are true friends. And that’s what true friends do. So at the end, us several are friends and that’s the way life goes.
