The Eagle Valley School opened with three new teachers this year. Deb Hart is the new special education teacher for the Eagle Valley Elementary School. Jennifer Poore is the new junior and senior band, choir, and general music instructor at the Eagle Valley High School. She will also be in charge of the Pep Band. Dan Kneeland is the new social studies and physical education instructor at the high school. He will also be head girl’s basketball coach.
The 1995 Rebels volleyball team opened their season with a 3-1 victory over the Bertha-Hewitt Bears on Friday afternoon. Individual game scores were 9-15, 15-4 and 15-9. Lisa Schauer led the team in serving with 23 of 24 serves and two aces. Kelly Greene was 14 for 14 and three aces and Missy Hayes was 13 for 13 with two aces.

Things are really humming at the center these days. The papers for the ownership are all but in our hands and the building committee and other ambitious folks all are really busy. Things are shaping up beautifully, from day to day, and it is becoming a dream come true.
U.S. Air force Sergeant Joseph P. Lorentz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lorentz of Eagle Bend, is on duty at Phu Cat, AB, Vietnam.
