Rolling car show: Cruisin’ for a good cause
A rolling motor show was held on Father’s Day, June 21. The event was co-sponsored by the Verndale Alliance Church and the Verndale Family Life Church as a fundraiser. This year they chose to support the Central Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge located in Brainerd. Cars lined up at the Verndale School, headed down Brown Street and cruised by the park. Spectators checked out the cars as they rolled by. The group drove through the parking lots of three assisted living centers in Staples and then headed to Brainerd to visit the Central Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge campus.
