Todd County Board of Commissioners: Hire new HR manager after closed session

After a 12-minute closed session, the commissioners returned to their session and approved a board action to hire Kaylene Madsen as the new Human Resources Manager.
The meeting was closed to discuss potential concerns raised regarding the prior work history of Madsen which had been brought to Chairman Randy Neumann’s attention just prior to the March 7 meeting at which time Neumann asked for the closed session.
County Attorney John Lindemann was present with the commissioners to discuss the matter that resulted in the hiring of Madsen.
In other business:
• Approved a gambling permit for the Society of Saint Pius X; Long Prairie, MN Inc. to hold a raffle event at the St. John Vianney Chapel and Academy in Round Prairie Township on August 13. . .
