SUV crashes into Wadena business

According to the Wadena Police Department, on Wednesday, December 20, at approximately 3:20 p.m., the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a vehicle that had just crashed into a building on Jefferson Street in Wadena. Upon the arrival of the Wadena Police Department, a Chevrolet SUV was found to have crashed through the front of the Ameriprise Financial Building in the 100 block of South Jefferson St. Two injured victims were tended to and transported by Tri-County Ambulance to Tri-County Healthcare with minor injuries. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Joydell Nealis, 25, of Wadena and Adam Sanders, 29, of Wadena. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Both Nealis and Sanders were wearing seatbelts. No bystanders or employees of Ameriprise were injured in the crash. The Wadena Police Department was assisted by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Tri-County Ambulance, Wadena Fire Department, and John’s Car Care.
